A judge ordered convicted sex offender John Urban to stay away from the UConn campus and any other school or campus in the US. The 38 year old was in Rockville Superiour Court today charged with stalking and disorderly conduct in connection with 4 separate incidents on campus. As a condition of his bond Urban is also not allowed contact with any female student. Beth Lantini, Storrs: "I think its a good idea he is not alowed near campus and we will be protected from him." UConn police say officers are well aware of what Urban looks like and if he showed up on campus appropriate action would be taken. But they say they have no reason to believe he won't comply with the judge's order. For the past few weeks police have used sketches to alert students about Urban's presence on campus. Police say they came from 2 women who described him separately. Now with his arrest Urban's picture is public. James Sulick, Urban's Attorney: "At this point we've agreed to any conditions that the judge has imposed because the previous efforts I've discussed and the bond conditions are our efforts to assure the citizenry of UConn that they are safe, and that Mr. Urban is not a threat to them.
