* Bond Increased for One of Two Women Charged in Aselton's Death
(Manchester-WTNH) _ While funeral services for Brian Aselton were going on, two of the three suspects arrested in connection with the shooting faced a judge. 29 year old Nency Forty and 23 year old Erica Vilchel are both facing a string of charges in connection with officer Aselton's murder.
News Channel 8's Verna Collins reports.

VilchelForty Two women arrested for what police say was their part in the murder of Officer Aselton face a list of charges. The most serious is for 29 year old Nency Forty (Right)- Capitol felony murder. For that crime she could be sentenced to die. 23 year old Erica Vilchel (Left) also faces several charges, among them felony murder. Her attorney wants to know how prosecutors came up with such a serious charge.

Gerald Klein, Vilchel's Attorney: "Tell us why she's guilty of murder. It's a simple request. You're gonna put a pregnant woman in jail - 8 months pregnant - no criminal record. The state didn't even want us to be permitted to argue the facts."

But today in court, Gerald Klein told the judge his client was not even at the apartment when officer Aselton was shot.

Klein: "My client did not commit the homicidal act. Secondly, she was not armed with a dangerous weapon. If this had been a situation where she was directly involved in the death of this police officer - who I knew slightly - there is no way I would be repesenting her."

Vilchel's family claims she was just hanging out with the wrong people.

Miguel Vilchel, Suspect's Brother: "I know my sister is innocent. She was at wrong place at wrong time."

Vilchel's family believes the murder was wrong, but they say the triggerman and anyone else involved in the murder should be tried, not Vilchel.

Eddie Laureano, Brother-in-Law: "We got a lot of sympathy for their family too, but they got to understand that one person is innocent."

Vilchel's attorney asked the judge to lower bond to $250,000 for his client. The state's attorney's office said that was way too low. The judge kept the bond at $3 million.

For Nency Forty, the judge increased her bond to $4 million.

We've been hearing that there might be a fourth suspect that might be out there. But at last report we're hearing that no arrest has been made.
