* Three Kings Day Celebrated
(Hartford-WTNH) _ So the tree's down, the holiday cards are in the recycle box, and so is your Christmas spirit. If you don't want to say goodbye to the holiday quite yet, you should have joined the Hispanic community in celebrating Three Kings Day.
News Channel 8's Jocelyn Sigue reports.

King on Camel The spirit of giving warmed the frigid day as Hartford's Hispanic-Americans remembered the traditions from home. Dozens of children and adults braved the below freezing temps to celebrate Three Kings Day, the day the three wise men brought gifts to the baby Jesus.

Yolanda Plata, Hartford: "It brings me back memories of gifts that they my mom used to place under the bed. We made plans to come out since last week to come see it."

The children enjoy the day most. The men in costume riding on camels meant to cross a searing desert, not a frozen city street.

Marie Riccio, Wethersfield: "Oh this is great. I've never seen it before, it's fun. I like seeing it. It's neat seeing all the camels go down."

Galo Rodriguez, Institute for the Hispanic Family: "Have the opportunity to give them something of the tradition. For us the tradition is kind of the most important thing that we can carry today."

On the Christian Calendar this is officially the end of the Christmas season. But organizers hope the Christmas spirit doesn't end here. Today community groups handed out thousands of toys and books to kids in need.
