* Town Questioned Over Non-Observance of King Holiday
(Wallingford-WTNH) _ The mayor of Wallingford is once again feeling the pressure from Connecticut's largest civil rights organization. The NAACP says all the other towns have managed to work something out.

Roger Vann, President, Connecticut NAACP: "Although Wallingford has a very small minority population, Dr King and his life and his work, and by extension the holiday, is an observance for all people."

Fr. John Dietrich, Hartford Archdiocese: "We're not just trying to plug bodies into parishes, we're looking for a few good men to be called by God, if that means 5 in a year, or fifteen - that's fine."

Church leaders are placing ads in newspapers and magazines and visiting high schools and colleges, hoping to reach out to young men who may want to become priests.
